Take back mommy Power.

Take back mommy Power.

Take back your Mommy Power!!!!!!

Mommy Power, Its strange when i am in public places and i observe other mothers negotiating with small children, making what seems like deals, "ok honey if u stop yelling i will buy it for you,"

'"OK honey if you get up off the floor mommy will buy you an ice cream," Hold up, Hold up What?

Small children depend on you mommy for structure, they have no say in  establishing the building blocks of  setting up that  structure. Parents should not rely on them to help you organize whats best for smaller children. Remember small children rely on you to guide them, and great for us they are sponges, the emulate what they see, the mimic our best and our worst, so molding them into great people should be our sole priority.  This includes the dreaded word NO!

The word No, is necessary in that structural building process, children have to learn from an early age that the word no represent responsibility, responsibility that they will have respect as part of your leadership role.  The role that separates Mommy from children, its not an unkind thing that you are doing by teaching your children to accept the fact that in life you don't get everything that you would like. Heck i would like a Benz Truck,  You will find that when your child accepts the fact that no, is part of setting up boundaries for their safety, structure and protection. Once we establish that word no is not up for negotiation, children are more accepting, you may need to explain yourself though, "No you cant have the toy because you already have four perfectly good ones and it is not in mommy's budget today". " No sweetie we are part our two toy limit for the month." us the easier it will be when they embark on public life that rules will be easier to adhere to.

I have eight children and believe me this is something that if you don't establish the boundaries  with now, wait until these small children get to be big ones, trying to establish acceptance then is a lost cause and they will be on the not so nice recieving end of the other type of authority figure.
